Unknown landscapes ...richesses infinies...

Their book deals with one of those fantastic, but rather unknown cultural landscapes, which are the result of a long and complex history.

Eva:
Welche Sprachen spricht man im Brabant wallon?

Quelles langues parle-t-on dans le Brabant wallon ?
Which languages do you speak in the Walloon Brabant (Belgium)?

Alain:

Today, we speak mainly French, but in the Past the Walloon dialect was common.

Eva:

What is closer, France or the Netherlands?

Alain:

Außerdem machen Wallonen oft Urlaub in Frankreich.

The French culture is omnipresent - restaurants, media, literature. Walloons go to France for their vacation, whereas the Flemish are closer to the Netherlands.

Eva:

Why are these landscapes very special to you? What do you like most?

Alain:

Ich zeichne, was mich berührt.

It is easier for me to express what I see by drawing than trying to describe it in words. These landscapes first of all seem to be extremely banal, but whenever you take youself the time and effort to have a closer look, under a new perspective, you will discover countless treasures.
